The Production Coordinator - Facilities reports to the Production Manager – Facilities and supports all of the logistical and operational tasks involved in the television broadcast of each Pac-12 Networks’ studio and/or remote sports productions. The position is based in the Pac-12 Network Studio/Offices located in San Francisco.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinator maintains inventory of all assets both at the PAC-12 studios as well as on each campus with daily communication with on-site asset managers to assist, track and support.
• Coordinator works with Production Managers and Production Coordinators to assist with shipping and tracking of all equipment on each remote event.
• Coordinator ensures that each school's asset manager is prepared with enough tape stock and communicates the protocol when crews are on site to manage back up records and game melts at each remote event.
• Coordinator is required to stay up to date on Federal/State/Industry Laws and Regulation posters that need to be displayed at all events.
• Coordinator keeps track of missing, lost and broken items on site and in house that need to be repaired or replaced while working under strict shipping and production timelines. The coordinator will understand urgency and budgets for shipping of these items.
• Coordinator will support Production Managers with mobile unit equipment changes, additional equipment requests and will manage mobile unit technical specifications to better document truck assets.
• Coordinator is responsible for assisting Production Managers with all remote equipment rentals and enhancements.
• Coordinator will assist with development, scheduling and promotion of the student training program and help by managing logistics on each campus and tracking budgets.
• Coordinator will monitor and assist in updating the master production schedule while helping to check transmission resources with Broadcast Ingest and Transmission Systems (BITS) and confirm transmission plans with Coordinators and Managers.
• Coordinator will be responsible for all other duties as assigned by the Production Manager (supervisor).
REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum 2 Years of prior work experience in studio or remote television production environment
• Previous remote sports production experience required
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
• Excellent people, organizational, and communication skills are essential
• Self-disciplined and self-motivated
• Have the ability to comprehend the extensive production operations and schedules
• Demonstrates ability to prioritize under time constraints and work successfully in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working in a culturally diverse organization and supporting the values held by our unique employees, clients, sponsors, university faculty, and fans
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, IE, etc.
• Capable of managing multiple projects with changing deadlines
• Required to be ‘on-call’ on a rotating basis
• Some travel may be required
• Must be willing and able to work flexible schedules including evenings, overnights, and most weekends and holidays
