Freelance Job
Pac-12 Networks’ Live Social Media Video Coordinator will lead production and programming of live video elements on social media platforms surrounding Pac-12 football game broadcasts this fall. Superior communication skills and a proven track record in social media and digital video production are key components to filling this innovative, new role, which reports to the Senior Social Media Manager based in San Francisco. This is a freelance position for the 2016-17 football season with prospects for ongoing employment if the experiment is a success.
Specific responsibilities will include:
• Work closely with Pac-12 Networks’ linear football production team to plan, coordinate and execute live Facebook video content leading up to and during football Saturdays
• Travel to broadcast venues as necessary
• Own the full life cycle of planning, programming and execution of live Facebook football content
• Establish and measure key performance metrics to track success and growth of program
• Work with internal and external stakeholders including Facebook and Pac-12 Sales, Marketing, and Partner Relations to ensure success of program
• Other duties as assigned by the Senior Social Media Manager
Job requirements:
• Deep understanding of all social platforms, with a special focus on Facebook and Facebook Live
• Superior knowledge of Pac-12 sports and what makes fans’ hearts race
• Demonstrable history of establishing and growing relationships with multiple stakeholders with varying interests
• Ability to be agile based on feedback, metrics and changing user behavior
• Willingness to work odd hours as dictated by sports and the social media news cycle including evenings and weekends
• Self-starter requiring little oversight while maintaining excellent attention to detail
• A minimum of three years of professional work experience, with at least two years in a role that includes social media management or video production
• BA or BS degree in journalism, broadcasting, marketing or related field role that includes social media management or video production
