Full Time Job
The Account Executive will be responsible for developing and nurturing corporate/agency relationships; scheduling weekly Introduction meetings/ presentations; identifying client marketing objectives and developing integrated marketing and media solutions. The position will also interface with corporate partner agencies, (e.g., sports AOR) to develop new sources of corporate leads and business; interface with media planners / buyers to develop new sources of media-based opportunities; and most important, identify and where possible, sell-ln fully integrated marketing and media-based programs to effect broader revenue for Pac-12.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and manage national / local/ regional Corporate and partner agency relationships
• Successfully drive and close deals against plan and revenue goals
• Introduce the Pac-12 as a viable marketing and multi-media platform to support their marketing and business objectives
• Work with internal marketing and sales support team to develop presentations/ proposals to drive business
• Perform necessary front end analysis and planning to assure that the objectives and priorities for each sales call are established and met in time frames acceptable to the client
• Stay current with industry trends and client business news to grow client relationships and business
• Steward proposals, deals and post-deal analyses
• Manage and update sales reporting systems navigating short term and long term goals
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements
• Must have a minimum of 3- 5 years sales experience within the sports marketing industry to include: sports marketing, agency, league, team, or media / TV broadcast areas
• Must have track record selling directly to corporate decision-makers and media agencies, closing new business and maintaining current business.
• Must have a strong ability to cold call clients, develop new relationships and secure business
• Must understand and have executed integrated marketing and media platforms as it relates to using sports sponsorships and media-based programs to support a client's marketing objectives
• Must have solid understanding of the college sports industry
• Must have exceptional oral/ written communication and presentation skills
• Must have solid understanding of digital/ social marketplace, technical aptitude and strong analytical skills
• Must be a team player who possess leadership skills, detail oriented and resourceful
• Must have a strong
• business acumen with respect to media industry
• Must have proven track record of developing client relationships
• Must have positive attitude and team-based philosophy
• Must be proficient in Windows-based software
• Must be willing to travel 1-2x per month in the designated regional territory
