Position at Pac-12 Sales
Working in the newly formed Pac-12 Sales organization, the Pac-12 Sales Director, Ticketing will play a central role developing and executing long range plans for all ticketing initiatives for Pac-12 Sales, participating membership institutions, their ticket sales departments and key personnel within the Athletic Departments. The Director will serve as liaison to all 12 Conference ticket sales departments to share best practices and work on specific ticketing projects.
The Director will be responsible for strategic planning, quantitative and strategic analysis, day-to-day support and management of each ticket sales department within the Pac-12 Sales model. The Director will provide data and reporting to inform key decision makers on a variety of subjects including recommended ticket pricing, ticket sales results, etc. The Director will manage and mentor Pac-12 Sales Directors and Account Executives of member institutions participating in the new Pac-12 Sales entity. This will include management of all ticketing goals, administration, hiring and budgeting. The Director, Ticketing reports to the Chief Marketing Officer of the Pac-12 Conference and Board Member of Pac-12 Sales.
Major Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute a world-class ticket sales arm for Pac-12 Sales. In conjunction with our institutions, enhance, develop, implement and enforce sales procedures that will improve the overall operations and effectiveness of the company.
• Prepare sales reports for each school on a regular basis and collaborate with key staff members of the schools to set business plans and goals for each account executive.
• Identify key partnerships to develop strategic sales initiatives. Represent the Pac-12 in key events – both community and corporate.
• Hire and manage Directors of Sales and Account Executives.
• Monitor, manage and evaluate staff performance on an ongoing basis, establish and communicate clear sales revenue and training goals, provide appropriate feedback and direction to sales teams and clients (schools).
• Manage Insperity relationship and required administrative tasks, including time and attendance.
• Establish credibility throughout the membership institutions and with the Board as an effective creator of solutions to ticketing business challenges.
• Promote productive relationships with the 12 ticketing departments, ticketing sales liaisons, and other collegiate conferences.
• In coordination with the Pac-12 Senior Manager, Ticketing, identify best practices and facilitate best practices sharing discussions among Pac-12 member ticketing departments.
• Provide support to integrate ticket sales, pricing models, and ticket packages for ticketing departments
• Contribute to Pac-12 Conference ticket strategy and execution for the Football Championship Game, Men and Women’s Basketball Tournaments and other championships.
• Maintain exceptional relationships with Paciolan, TicketMaster, and other ticket vendor executives.
• Foster a positive work place environment and develop an agile sales culture within the entire organization

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree
• A minimum of 8 years’ experience in ticket sales, ticket operations management within intercollegiate or professional environment
• Experienced in building, training and managing sales teams
• Experienced in strategic planning, to effectively organize resources, establish priorities, and achieve desired results within budget and time constraints
• Strong interpersonal communication and political acumen skills, including advanced skills to effectively represent the membership institutions with other internal and/or external constituencies.
• Knowledge of applicable NCAA rules and regulations
• Strong knowledge of current and emerging industry requirements and best practices in areas of ticket sales, ticket operations and customer service and marketing
• Ability to frequently travel to our membership institutions
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must be efficient in the Microsoft suite of tools: Excel; Word; PowerPoint; and ticketing specific technology
