Full Time Job
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Works with the Pac-12 Networks Communications team to develop and execute internal and external communications strategies
• Manages relationships with the local and national radio producers
• Manages media schedules for all Pac-12 talent
• Maintains on-air talent page online (and in files) with up-to-date bio information
• Distributes noteworthy digital content to media
• Assists with all press releases and distributes to media and key stakeholders
• Helps write and manage Pac-12 Insider- the corporate blog of the Pac-12 Networks
• Serves as managing editor of Pac-12 Pulse, the company's internal newsletter and helps organize other internal communications tools
• Helps coordinate industry award submissions
• Helps find and secure campus and industry speaking opportunities for Pac-12 Networks executives and talent
• Works closely with all departments to promote milestones and important developments internally
• Monitors daily media reports and distributes internally
• Builds and updates media influencer databases
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor, including the day-to-day management of temporary assistant
• Some travel required
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Public Relations or other related field
• 1-2 years of of experience in public relations
• Understanding/interest in collegiate sports important
• Individual must be a team player, able to handle multiple tasks, extremely organized, accurate, responsible, flexible, diplomatic and able to work well under pressure
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products or equivalent and Google Docs
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interact professionally with all levels
• Excellent writing skills and understanding of Associated Press style writing standards
