Communications Assistant Coordinator (Temporary)
Pac-12 Networks is looking for a Freelance Communications Assistant Coordinator that will report directly to Pac-12 Networks Communications Senior Manager. The Communications Assistant Coordinator will support public relations activities, including management of internal database lists, customer care efforts and content creation in order to promote Pac-12 Networks, its talent, and 850 live event telecasts, studio, and original programming. In addition, he/she will help conduct research, compile press clippings and assist with special projects.
The Communications Assistant Coordinator will be based in our San Francisco, CA headquarters. Coverage on nights and weekends may be required.
Appointment term: 20 hours/week (Days TBD); September 1 – December 18, 2017

Responsibilities:
• Compile, distribute and archive news clippers and interview links regarding Pac-12 and Pac-12 Networks and distribute internally to all staff
• Management of internal database lists and files including media contact lists, talent and staff headshots, bios, and photos
• Assist in customer care efforts, reading and responding to consumer inquiries and complaints left within Pac-12 Zendesk system
• Assist with tracking of campaigns and development of recap reports
• Assist with weekly distribution of programming, production and talent assignment information
• Assist with management of Pac-12 Networks editorial calendar
• Assist Senior Manager with several projects, as assigned
• Assist Communications Coordinator with development of Pac-12 Pulse internal newsletter, including story ideas and execution
• Assist Communications team members with various tasks, as assigned
Requirements:
• Superior attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Excellent writing skills (familiarity with AP Style is preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Docs
• Experience with Content Management System (CMS) platforms
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
• Prior experience in sports media or public relations
