We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented entertainment publicity intern for our A list celebrity and personality PR firm in the heart of sunny Brentwood. The position would be 20-30 hours/week daily part-time. Candidate must have excellent office and communication skills, have the ability to keep up with all daily tasks, familiarity with current trends, social media savvy, ability to do thorough research, and must be able to multi-task under breaking deadlines.
We represent A list actors and personalities and do Oscar, Emmy, Tony, Golden Globe and SAG campaigns among others for clients. We also specialize in targeting media that is strategically designed to push the needle forward, create and or maintain an image and help our clients reach the pinnacle of their careers and success.
Specific responsibilities:
- Track and service client event coverage and press
- Support supervisor and the team with incoming and outgoing high volume email correspondence and organization
- Answering phones and rolling calls
- Maintain electronic press kits and press clippings
- Research and update contact lists
- Research
Requirements:
- Attending Four year college degree or have just graduated
- Strong writing, research and organizational skills
- Self-starter, able to work independently as well as in teams
- Strong ability to prioritize, solve problems and be resourceful
- Previous PR experience preferable
- Experience using Photoshop, Cision, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
- Experience with IMDB, Active Pitch a plus but not required.
- Positive attitude
$10-13 hr DOE (assistant and PR industry experience a plus), benefits after six months of full time employment, paid sick days, vacation, medical and commissions after a year.
