A boutique powerhouse PR firm with multiple Award winning and Award nominated clients with an expertise in Media Strategy and Implementation as well as working with emerging artists and doing awards campaigns is looking for an experienced assistant with 6 month - 1 year at a desk in entertainment publicity. Personal publicity preferred.
This person must have experience doing:
- Cision Lists
- Creating and Maintaining Press Kits using Photoshop and Powerpoint
- Drafting Pitches, press releases and the like
- Managing all Google Alerts and reviewing and drafting servicing memos and then mocking up all press clips
- Composing and sending memos and itineraries to clients regarding junkets, photo shoots, film festival travel etc.
- Working with agent assistants, manager's assistants, studio and network assistants to navigate the demands of the job and get the work done
- Keep phone sheets, roll calls and manage pitch calendars and all calls to media
- Successfully writing Event Pitches and securing invitations for clients to Premieres and Red Carpets and escorting them
-running errands necessary for the position
- handling all incoming/outgoing mail
- managing and organizing the social calendar for President and the company clients
Will also be responsible for managing the company event calendar for the boss and the clients.
Must have: MICROSOFT OFFICE (Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint and Word) great organizational and note taking skills, STRONG WRITER, communicative, DISCRETE have a terrific phone manner, EYE FOR DETAIL, takes direction well, have Photoshop and Cision ON TIME AND MAKES DEADLINES, and is really into movies and television and theater. Past experience doing personal assistant work a plus but not necessary. Major/Minor or Master in Public Relations preferred or Public Relations experience using CISION and PHOTOSHOP and making PRESS CLIPS.
Must love entertainment and want to work in this business.
