Fall 2012 Public Relations Internship
PMK BNC is one of the leading public relations and marketing communications firms operating within the entertainment and lifestyle/pop culture arena. We are pioneers in the strategic development and use of nontraditional marketing solutions grounded in classic Public Relations. With offices in Los Angeles and New York, PMK BNC executes brand-based strategic programs that integrate such core competencies as public relations, event marketing, celebrity/influencer marketing and outreach, product integration, sponsorships, promotion and total project management.
PMK * BNC has created a formal internship program, where interns are given exposure to learn hands-on about
Public Relations and/or Marketing & Events.
Our highly motivated and detail oriented interns will have:
-The ability to handle multi-faceted projects
-Strong follow through.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Strong computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel and Word)
-Commitment to the quality of their work, and a sense of responsibility
Internship Learning Objectives:
-Observe, learn and assist the daily tasks and responsibilities of industry publicists
-Occasionally observe company brainstorm meetings, client meetings, and client calls
-Develop relationships with PMK * BNC staff, to begin building a professional network
-Attending weekly intern classes to learn about the different departments of the company and the industry
-Attending weekly meetings with a designated group of students to work on the intern project
-Present intern project to PMK * BNC staff
Requirements:
INTERN REQUIREMENTS
-must be eligible for school credit
-working knowledge of PowerPoint, word and excel
-Communication, Journalism, English, Marketing, and PR majors preferred
-Minimum commitment of 16-20 hours/week (full days preferred)
