Director of Finance/Business Affairs - LA
We currently have a great opportunity available for a Director of Finance/Business Affairs. The Director will report to the Chief Financial Officer and be a key leader in financial planning and analysis, cost control, asset management and business decision support. The Director will interact with PMK*BNC executive and senior management to ensure the organization is favorably positioned for financial growth and efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Work closely with leadership and associates to improve financial performance and understanding of key financial drivers and metrics.
• Responsible for the timely and accurate submission of monthly forecast and reporting packages to IPG Corporate.
• Responsible for internal consolidation and reporting of financial results and metrics.
• Responsible for developing annual and mid-term financial plans.
• Analyze company's expenses and cost drivers and identify areas of improvement.
• Support division and functional areas throughout PMK*BNC and IPG Corporate on business plans, decision making, productivity actions and asset management. Evaluate financial processes and systems to drive improvements in efficiency, internal controls, and reporting capabilities.
• Support senior management in the evaluation and execution of strategic projects.
• Responsible for the management and enhancement of the financial planning and consolidation system.
• Event Insurance
o Work with account executives on all aspects of IPG's event insurance program to ensure all agency events are properly insured.
o Create and maintain a list of all client events.
o Review Event Liability Form for accuracy and completeness and submit to IPG's agents and legal as necessary.
o Request COI's for entities as required by written contract.
o Review COI's submitted by vendors for accuracy and work with AE's to ensure all vendors are properly contracted and all COI's get submitted.
o Liaise with any questions from our agents or IPG Risk Management on events.
• Contracts
o Liaise with outside counsel on all contracts submitted to the agency for review: vendors, venues, clients.
o Track each contract through the editing process.
• SAG/AFTRA Liaison
• Other duties and projects as may be assigned.
Required Skills:
• Demonstrate the ability to thoroughly understand a business's strategy and determine linkages to financial initiatives and drivers.
• Strong ability to lead, develop, and retain associates within the finance organization.
• Ability to effectively manage people, projects, and tasks ensuring appropriate responsiveness and priority.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels within the organization and influence processes across multiple functions and stakeholders.
• Highly computer proficient, including advanced capabilities with Excel.
• Experience using SAP FI, CO and BPC is highly desired.
• Reasoning skills; have a natural ability for being detail oriented and accurate with numbers and reporting.
• Superior problems solver and natural ability to figure out.
Required Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or other related field required.
• Previous 10 + years progressively responsible experience in finance with extensive experience in forecasting, financial modeling, cash flow management, and cost/profitability analysis required.
• MBA preferred.
