PMK• BNC New York is seeking an Assistant for our Brand Communications division.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Clear understanding of client accounts, organizational structure, and business needs
• Ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and balance several projects simultaneously
• Assist, research, understand, measure, and experiment with new and alternative ways to leverage social media to achieve overall marketing objectives and goals
• Interest in consumer brands and creating consumer/media experiences through events and promotions
• Knowledgeable across key pop culture pillars and trends including music, sports, food, fashion, entertainment, etc.
• Regularly develop and maintain media contact lists and databases
• Scan daily, weekly, monthly and on-line publications to identify client-relevant media coverage, including competitive market and industry information
• Pitch/interact with media as deemed necessary by account team leader
• Draft basic press releases, pitch letters, and briefing documents
• Prepare clip reports and summaries as needed by team and client
• Contribute to client brainstorms with creative ideas
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 1-2 years working experience in related industry
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office; Powerpoint and Outlook is a must
• Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills are a must
• Strong organization with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Successful work performance demonstrating an ability to communicate effectively well with others, use productive work methods, exercise sound judgment and display initiative and innovations on the job
