PMK• BNC Los Angeles is seeking a Vice President of Corporate Communications to lead the agency's Corporate Communications efforts. This leader will support the senior executive team, providing strategic communications counsel across the organization while overseeing functional areas such as external media relations and internal communications. This role will report into the Office of the CEO with a dotted line into Growth.
The ideal candidate must be experienced leading both external media relations and internal communications for an agency. Candidates should possess a strong grasp of pop culture and be strong in social media, the media and cultural landscapes, and the ability to apply that knowledge in their communications strategies.

Responsibilities:
External Media Relations:
• Lead the development of external media relations strategies, working closely with Business Leaders across the organization, with the goal of shaping the narrative and articulating strategy for PMK• BNC
• Gathering and compiling stats for industry business reports and coordinating interviews with reporters
• Manage and maintain Listings and Rankings – AdAge, PRWeek, LA Biz Journal, NY Observer, Biz Bash, etc.
• Marketing of Executive profiles/lists – i.e., 40 Under 40 lists, women's lists, innovator lists, etc.
• Create and maintain Calendar of Events for speaking and/or panel opportunities, seek out, pitch and coordinate opportunities for executives
• Create and maintain Editorial calendars of all key industry trades to target special issues and opportunities to showcase executives and work
• Fielding and handling general press requests, requests for comments, etc.
• Editing and drafting press releases for agency announcements, as well as occasional op-ed pieces
• Manage agency social media –Oversee the development strategy for each channel including our website
• Understand our client's business (and the landscape they operate in) deeply; what opportunities
• Understand the entertainment marketing agency landscape: the opportunities and the challenges it faces
• Develop and maintain relationships with key influencers, including press and industry luminaries; help manage significant news cycles; partner with agency partners and press to craft great stories
Internal Communications:
• Lead the development of internal communications strategies, working closely with executives and teams across the business, with the goal of better reaching and emotionally connecting Team Members to the strong values and culture of the company
• Create and maintain annual budget Corporate Communications/Marketing department
• Maintain and update internal publications
• Maintain and update executive bios and headshots
• Agency award submissions for multiple programs, building awards calendar and making teams aware of opportunities.
• Leading communications within the IPG network with both parent and sister agency on PMK• BNC highlights (client wins, executive profiles, etc.)
• Drive social minded culture at the agency
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree preferably in Communications, English, Public Relations or Marketing. Master's degree in a communications field desirable
• 10 years of related experience preferably in a marketing agency environment is highly preferred. Alternately, significant experience in entertainment, media and technology, or public affairs is desired
• A passion for brands, a love of pop culture, music and entertainment
• Excellent relationships with key press, and/or the ability to cultivate and maintain those relationships
• Ability to work cross-functionally with urgency across different divisions and with outside partners
• Ability to help shape the narrative for a dynamic, fluid brand that is committed to constant reinvention
• Direct experience in managing a team
• Highly collaborative, flexible and adaptable, with strong diplomatic and influencing skills
• Superior conceptual and critical thinking skills
• A track record of innovation and creative risk-taking
• Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills are a must
• Sincere interest in the evolving media landscape and emerging marketing techniques and platforms
• Must have experience with and have a professional demeanor in interacting with clients
• Demonstrated ability to be resourceful, take initiative and problem-solve
• Strong attention to detail
• High proficiency in the complete Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.) and excellent understanding of utilizing online and network-based tools for research purposes
