We are currently seeking a Temporary Promotions Analyst to support the Strategic Insights & Analytics group in our Los Angeles, CA location. The ideal candidate will be an analytical thinker able to pull together data quickly and bring forth impactful insight. The candidate will be involved in analysing a wide range of Direct-to Consumer promotions weaving data from various sources together to provide insight-driven stories and recommendations to our clients. This individual should be comfortable with data crunching with an extreme eye for detail and be able to translate complex information clearly and concisely.
The Strategic Insights & Analytics group uses in-depth research and data to challenge clients’ perceptions, identify opportunities, deliver insights and provide data driven solutions to a variety of situational barriers that enhance our clients’ successes in the marketplace.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Partner with a client teams to translate marketing and business objectives into an appropriate measurement framework to track performance of promotional campaigns
• Provide analytical & quantitative support to the promotions process by analyzing all available forms of data to identify both areas of opportunity and optimization in future campaigns
• Serve as a resource and subject matter expert on market research vendors, analytics tools and best practices
• Provide promotion performance monitoring – ongoing measurement and reporting of promotions success
• Maintain data tools and dashboards to oversee and track data collection
• Review data sets and reports for accuracy, validity and data integrity
• Collaborate with account teams to create visually impactful reports and evaluations
• Assess ad-hoc requests from account team and client and ensure accurate fulfilment in a timely manner
• Prepare client ready presentations and reports; participate in client meetings, conference calls and presentations
• Examine data, identify patterns and interpret results to create an insightful story and business recommendations
• Lead project team in achieving goals including direct management of team members
• Manage vendors and/or outside partners for data tools and collection
• Explore innovative measurement tools, methodologies and approaches as to create new efficiencies and solutions
Required Experience and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree. Advanced degrees preferred (preferably on Economics, Math)
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, consumer insights or market research
• Track record in working to tight deadlines, analyzing and amalgamating large, complex streams of data
• Manage and develop strong client relationships, both internal and external
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely
• Digital marketing related experience required, strong knowledge of social media and emerging digital trends
• Skilled at creatively visualizing information and data
• Manages multiple priorities, high pressure and meets tight deadlines
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Creative problem solving skills
• Exceptional project management skills
• Must have excellent computer skills, expert in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access)
• Solid experience using analytics and visualization tools (e.g. Excel, SQL, SPSS, Excel Macros, Piktochart, Visual.ly etc.) preferred and Tableau is highly preferred
• Experience managing vendors and/or outside partners
