Public Relations Account Executive (Music Publicist)
Account Executive
The Account Executive will play a critical role in helping to manage current musicians and bands as well as signing new talent. This position will help to shape the public image of musical talent across a variety of media. The Account Executive will also help to play a supporting role within the Music Department.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Pitching story ideas to a variety of different media outlets
• Writing press releases
• Tracking press clippings and handling press requests
• Scheduling and coordinating artist interviews and other media coverage
• Covering client events and photo shoots
• Soliciting album/concert reviews from a variety of print, broadcast, and digital publications
• Fielding incoming media requests
• Organizing and managing press junkets
• Seeking out and signing new talent
Required Experience and Skills:
• 4 years of experience working full-time in a music publicity capacity
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Deep understanding of the PR world as it relates to music
• Passion for all things music
• Initiative and drive to succeed
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, and working knowledge of other Microsoft Office software
• Professional, yet friendly people skills
• Outstanding organizational skills
• Responsive and professional written and verbal communication skills
• Proved ability to anticipate needs and be resourceful
• Punctuality and reliability
• Some travel may be required
