Director, Brand Communications (Media Relations and PR)
PMK• BNC Los Angeles is seeking a Director of Brand Communications who is a strong leader and mentor to their account team, and is motivated to help PMK• BNC and clients evolve with the changing media landscape. The ideal candidate will have strong experience successfully leveraging brand initiatives, entertainment partnerships, brand history/narrative and creative programming through PR and social media, generating measurable results against client goals.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Responsible for both planning and execution of all consumer and trade marketing activities including strategic planning, PR activation, seamlessly integrating social influencers, and celebrities
• Serve as day-to-day account lead directing team members ranging from account supervisors to administrative assistants
• Accountable for quality control and final review of all plans, memos, recap reports and client materials
• Implement successful media activation plans and provide direction and guidance to account team
• Develop and maintain strong relationship with clients at all levels
• Keep client programs on schedule and ensure all deadlines are met
• Be an active force in brainstorming new, innovative ideas for client projects across both PR and Entertainment Influencer Marketing
• Develop and coach account teams for peak performance
• Day-to-day client communication and overall account team management
• Manage working relationship with partner agencies across various programs
• Manage all budget-related responsibilities for assigned accounts
• Lead ongoing account review and staff meetings - provide ongoing communications and feedback
• Identify and develop client growth opportunities
• Work with peers to further the mission, goals and culture of PMK• BNC
Required Experience and Skills:
• 8-10 years of media relations experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Communications, English, Public Relations or Marketing preferred
• Large agency/client experience and adult beverage category experience is required
• Track record of successfully developing media strategies, identifying story angles, developing press materials and securing top tier coverage for clients
• Exceptional judgment when working with media, team members, client contacts, and vendors
• Successful in managing multiple short- and long-term plans simultaneously
• Experience engaging mid- to senior-level clients
• Strong leadership and team management skills
