Account Executive in Brand Communications
PMK• BNC’s Los Angeles’ Brands practice is seeking a dynamic Account Executive to manage top-tier, national consumer lifestyle brands accounts.
This individual will bring a verifiable track record of implementing successful, integrated PR strategies, including breakthrough media relations, leveraging social media, and activating influencers.
This person has excellent media relations, writing and organizational skills. S/he is a strong multi-tasker and understands the client/agency process. S/he will bring an entrepreneurial mindset to accounts and inspirational style to managing the team.
Ideal candidate will have experience in lifestyle brands (consumer products, automotive, spirits and/or fashion) and can successfully leverage brand initiatives, entertainment partnerships, brand history/narrative and creative programming through PR and social media, generating measurable results against client goals.
Viable candidates can point to specific experience successfully leading programs, projects and people while executing best-in-class, multi-channel PR programs including media relations, social media outreach, brand positioning, content development, talent engagement, and has some experience in budget management, client relations and account management.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Serve as day-to-day media lead for account team managing team members ranging from junior account executives to administrative assistants
• Implement successful media activation plans and provide direction and guidance to account team
• Develop and maintain strong relationship with media and clients
• Create, edit and deliver client presentations and plans
• Attend account reviews and staff meetings - provide ongoing communications and feedback
• Writing and editing of media materials and provide direction to ensure quality control
• Identify and develop client growth opportunities
• Work with peers to further the mission, goals and culture of the agency
Required Experience and Skills:
• Four to six years of media relations experience; large agency/client experience is a plus
• Lifestyle category experience desired
• Track record of successfully developing media strategies, identifying story angles, developing press materials and securing top tier coverage for clients
• Exceptional judgment when working with media, team members, client contacts and vendors
• Successful in managing multiple short- and long-term plans simultaneously
• Experience engaging mid- to senior-level clients
• Strong self-starter and can work independently
• Bachelor's Degree in Communications, English, Public Relations or Marketing preferred
