Position Objectives:
To manage audio/visual (A/V) production tasks in order to facilitate video edits and shoots
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
• In consultation with PETA and its affiliates and verified compliance with the objectives, standards, and requirements communicated by them:
o Oversee the creation and timely completion of video shoots and edits for a wide range of campaigns for PETA and its affiliates
o Perform quality control for all videos and approve videos for external distribution
o Use independent judgment and discretion to coordinate video and photo shoots
o Ensure proper and legal use of photos and videos
• Monitor loans of video and photo equipment
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of and function as point of contact for the A/V Department in the Los Angeles and/or the Norfolk office
• Generate and maintain departmental standard operating procedures
• Delegate and assign tasks to video editors and assistants
• Work closely with the senior project coordinator to accomplish tasks
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications:
• Degree in a related field or experience with post-production routing and coordination
• Preferred minimum of two years of audio-visual project coordination experience
• Thorough knowledge of animal rights issues and PETA campaigns
• Proven ability to use discretion when working with confidential material
• Demonstrated ability to deal professionally with staff members and the public
• Demonstrated excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines in a professional manner
• Commitment to the objectives of the organization
