Position Objective:
• Bring creativity, vision, and leadership to the Audio/Visual Department and oversee the department's overall success and development.
• To oversee the daily operations of the Audio/Visual (A/V) Department
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
• Supervise the A/V Department's editorial and production staff
• Ensure that all facets of the A/V Department's work are being performed efficiently and accurately and offer management guidance
• In conjunction with the managerial staff, establish and modify departmental workflow procedures and perform or contribute to all staff training on A/V processes
• In consultation and verified compliance with the objectives, standards, and requirements communicated by PETA and its affiliates:
o Oversee pre-production, production, and post-production plans for video and photo shoots in conjunction with other departments and PETA and its affiliates
o Ensure the timely completion of all projects and requests, the performance of quality control, and the proper maintenance of the A/V library and equipment
o Oversee the quality control of all videos
o Secure freelance designers who can fill in during high-volume work periods
o Serve as the first point of contact for editorial staff technical questions
• Research growing trends in A/V production and management, and ensure that the A/V Department is always on the cutting edge and using all available resources to help advance client goals.
• Ensure that equipment is properly maintained
Qualifications:
• Degree in a related field and ten years of related experience
• Extensive video production and editing experience, including but not limited to experience with Adobe Premiere
• Strong working knowledge of industrial-grade video and photo equipment
• Sophisticated understanding of and appreciation for creative work
• Demonstrated excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proven ability to deal professionally with staff members and the public
• Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Proven ability to work under tight deadlines in a professional manner
• Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times
• Willingness and ability to travel
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid U.S. driver's license, a minimum of three years of driving experience, and a satisfactory driving record
• Commitment to the objectives of the organization
