Social Media Manager
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to: Director, Brand Marketing
Manages: social media interns
Job Description:
Social Media Marketing Manager drives positive social results as well as implementing Ovation's social media strategy and best practices. This position is responsible for all social media efforts from strategy and execution to analyzing campaigns analytics.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for posting and scheduling content to Ovation's social platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram and Google+.
• Creates and maintain a social media calendar for short and long term efforts, ensures content for social media aligns with marketing, creative services & programming calendar.
• Monitors and engages with followers, and audience, across all social platforms, keeping with the voice and tone of the Ovation brand.
• Routinely (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) updates banner images, profile photos to ensure that each platform is up to date and is promoting relevant programming iniatives.
• Maintains and update department-wide database including all relevant Social Media Team information (passwords/logins, best practices, brand assets, vendor contact information, etc.)?
• Assists Brand Director in compiling metrics and analytics for tracking purposes.
• Monitors general social media landscape, especially as it relates to TV programming promotion, and participates in ongoing social media meetings, brainstorms and strategy sessions sharing the latest news and updates in the competitive space.
• Notices trends in social media tools and applications and appropriately applyies that knowledge to increasing the use of social media at Ovation.
• Onboards and develops social media interns to maximize potential and delegate responsibilities as needed
• Identify opportunities to partner with like-minded content creators/networks to aid Ovation's brand awareness.
• Experiments with new and alternative ways to leverage social media activities to gain insights into customer behavior and viewing patterns.
• Work closely with outside agencies to manage Facebook ad campaigns that boost Ovation's fanpage.
• Manage content and creation of Ovation's quarterly newsletter.
• Manage assets and distribution of email signature.
