Graphic Artist - Denver, CO
Outdoor Channel, America's leader in outdoor TV has an exciting opportunity for a Graphic Artist in the Denver, CO office.
SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, the Graphic Artist in Outdoor Channel's marketing organization is a key creative professional that helps implement the network's look and feel in a variety of mediums. This is a critical role at the network, as it is the packaging for our service and a key driver of success with both B2C and B2B audiences.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Creates unique, high-end, high-impact marketing pieces including but not limited to print ads, flyers, brochures, banners, HTML pieces, direct mail pieces, invitations, posters, signage, premiums, etc.
• Provides conceptual input for marketing projects including but not limited to television spots, radio spots, programming block/special event names, etc.
• Completes projects with extreme creativity, speed and attention to detail.
• Understands and strives to serve the major business units of the network including but not limited to Advertising Sales, Affiliate Sales, Programming and Marketing.
• Pushes the envelope creatively by seeking fresh and innovative ways to promote the network, eschewing formulaic thinking.
• Communicates effectively and regularly with sales, programming, marketing and traffic to develop concepts and ascertain needs.
• Provides stewardship of graphic projects from ideation to review to revision.
• Implements the new Outdoor Channel brand in all marketing materials.
• Familiar with the network's photo collection and recommend additions.
• Selects photos for marketing projects.
• Works with external vendors (i.e. printers, etc.) and obtains quotes for projects.
• Looks for efficient, cost effective ways to spread the network's message.
• Take direction on projects from multiple people within the organization
• Proofreads all projects, aiming for an error-free final product.
• Participates in creative brainstorming sessions, offering ideas, feedback and insight.
• May be called upon to manage the creative request/work flow process.
• Communicates the tenets of the creative process to the entire network.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Generally requires a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of production design experience with a Design Studio/Ad Agency or in house creative group. Proficient in: : Adobe Creative Cloud programs, CSS and HTML. Expert in Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. Excellent layout skills, proven time management, organizational, and communication skills with a keen attention to detail
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma required. Bachelor's Degree in fine arts or related field preferred, or equivalent experience required.

JUDGEMENT/REASONING ABILITY: Able to identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly using sound judgment, poise and diplomacy. Ability to use judgment and reasoning skills, and determine when to escalate issues, as required, in a timely manner.
