Our Time Projects and Academy Awards nominated director Matthew Heineman are looking for bilingual (Arabic/English) post-production translators.
Matthew Heineman is an Oscar-nominated and Emmy-nominated filmmaker based in New York. His latest film CARTEL LAND was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature. It premiered in the U.S. Documentary Competition at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival, where Heineman won the Best Director Award and Special Jury Prize for Cinematography. In addition, Heineman received the Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Documentary Award from the Director's Guild of America for the film, and was named one of Foreign Policy Magazine's 100 Leading Global Thinkers of 2015. Translators will be working on his follow-up project due to be completed and released in 2017.
We are seeking highly motivated workers who can commit one to two full days a week. Position starts as soon as possible and will continue through the summer and possibly into the fall. Must speak Arabic and English. Knowledge of Final Cut 7 is preferred but not necessary.
Rate is $10/hr. There is also potential for upward mobility within the project and potentially joining the team as one of its core members.
