Full Time Job
Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer / EVP Business Affairs, the Executive Assistant is responsible for assisting the COO and supporting the Business & Legal Affairs department.
Responsibilities
• Answer phones;
• Schedule meetings for COO; and screenings for the department
• Various errands as needed (Deliveries for Deliverables when Runner is unavailable);
• Research, analyze and assist in resolution of rights clearance issues;
• Review and draft a broad spectrum of agreements and amendments related to the production of non-scripted television productions (e.g., location releases, vendor agreements, below-the-line agreements, appearance releases);
• Prepare and update contract status reports;
• Assist In-House Counsel and Production Attorney in the review of episodic cuts and provide comments reflecting legal concerns and corporate standards and practices;
• Scan and save various documents into the shared server /scanned and saved binder documents and releases for Deliverables - contracts and various agreements for Legal;
• Organize and maintain extensive database of agreements; Obtain various signatures from COO and return to appropriate person(s);
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
• Strong proofreading skills
• Attention to detail
• 1 year office experience preferred
• Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material and exercise discretion
• Able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in a Business & Legal Department preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
