Oversee all aspects of media relations for our Sports Department. Oversee brand partnerships, responsible for creating and managing relationships with Fortune 500 companies. Our primary goal is to develop strategic marketing partnerships to drive incremental revenue for the company. The ideal candidate will have extensive business development experience within SPORTS & BRAND MARKETING with a track record of building successful partnerships within the Sports Space.
Job Functions:
• Develop strategic marketing partnerships to create new long-term revenue streams
• Work with Insights / Creative team to build customized presentations for prospective partners
• Collaborate with potential partners to define opportunities tailored to each company situation
• Drive process of negotiating complex partnerships
Job Requirements:
• Experience in strategic/partnership marketing pertaining to Sports industry
• Demonstrated experience in bringing concepts to life through written presentations
• Demonstrated success in driving the new business process from concept, sale,
and execution
• Experience in media, entertainment, brand and/or agency industries required; Sports
industry experience a plus
• Strong organizational and time management skills: Ability to handle multiple projects
and meet deadlines
• Self-starter, will take initiative with new projects, with ability to make cold calls
• Professional demeanor in dealing with clients and co-workers
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Excel,
PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Excellent writing and communications skills
• Ability to travel as needed for partner meetings
• 4-year college degree (MUST)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and execute most urban press campaigns.
- Write, release and deliver press releases to media.
- Write, release and deliver department newsletters to media.
- Schedule and coordinate interviews, features
- Schedule and coordinate press days including regional TV and Radio.
- Schedule and coordinate media events.
- work with independent PR firms that are hired for urban projects.
- Hire biography writers.
- Coordinate photo shoots.
TOUR PRESS
- Schedule regional interviews and features.
- Pitch all tour dates for urban artists for regional tour coverage.
- Deliver press assets to all regional press outlets artists tour in for listing coverage.
- Deliver coverage wrap ups.
- Attend area tour dates to coordinate press in major markets.
MARKETING/PUBLICITY ASSET PRODUCTION
- Coordinate and produce behind the scenes video footage.
- Coordinate and arrange studio footage.
- Coordinate and arrange gear centered footage for gear centered outlets.
