Temporary Administrative Assistant, Business and Legal Affairs
Responsibilities:
• Provide legal administrative support to attorney(s)/paralegal(s) handling production, litigation and other entertainment business and legal matters
• Track contracts at various stages from production through execution
• Draft business and legal affairs related correspondence
• Provide general office support (e.g., maintain and organize files, fax, photocopy, schedule meetings and maintain calendars, prepare expense reports, coordinate and arrange travel and oversee submission of outside counsel bills and other invoices for payment), and operate within various databases relating to areas of responsibility
• Interact with OWN business units, including senior and executive OWN personnel, as well as external business contacts and other third parties
• Work with and maintain confidential information
• Perform other related administrative tasks as requested by supervisor(s)
Requirements:
• Preferred candidate will have a minimum of three years legal secretarial experience at a law firm or in legal department of an entertainment company
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
• Candidate should display a great deal of initiative and the ability to work independently under pressure in a deadline-driven, detail oriented environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy, composure and professionalism at all times
• Ideal candidate must have strong computer skills, including a mastery of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point and Adobe Acrobat and the ability to navigate in database environments
• Candidate must have the ability to identify and manage important administrative issues, multi-task and effectively prioritize work assignments
• Must be comfortable with and able to complete projects assigned by manager(s) working off-site
• Minimum of BA/BS Degree
• California certified notary public a plus
• Television industry experience preferred
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
