Audiovisual and Broadcast Event Scheduler
For a highly visible and diverse business environment in support of a major agency, OMNITEC Solutions seeks an Audiovisual and Broadcast Event Scheduler who is a proven team player capable of performing a wide range of tasks under minimal supervision.
Job Duties / Responsibilities:
1. Receives and responds to AV and broadcasting service requests from clients for audiovisual support for events, productions and webcasts. Directly communicates with clients to ascertain event and production requirements. Provides guidance and suggestions for production approaches and assists in facilitating communications with other service partners to enhance efficiency, reliability, and timeliness of audiovisual services support.
2. Answers the Help Desk telephone to respond to daily client and service partner inquiries. Assists clients in successfully coordinating audiovisual support services for their events. Contacts clients requesting audiovisual services to clarify service requests placed in the scheduling system. Works with the Central Operations Producer for the scheduling and planning of webcast and video production events.
3. Assists clients via the remote help desk asset management system and provides Tier 1 support for audiovisual equipment hookup and problem resolution. Escalates issues to the appropriate team member as necessary for Tier 2 support.
4. Coordinates new support requests through the scheduling system and ensures all changes to requests are entered into the system and communicated to related team members. Confirms and completes service requests in the scheduling system, and processes the billing of costs, where applicable.
5. Works closely with event planning group to provide price quotes for clients, availability schedules, and assignment of resources.
6. Works with Deputy Program Manager and Program Manager to draft ''next day'' AV and broadcast crew assignment schedules including determining the number of freelance technicians needed.
7. Under the direction of the Deputy Program Manager and the Program Manager, contacts, books and coordinates freelance technicians as needed.
8. Updates daily audiovisual schedule postings. Emails requests for service partner support through proper channels; follows through for written confirmation.
9. Creates media labels for video production service requests. Distributes recorded media to clients and maintains receipt log.
10. Provides detailed reporting on numerous performance indicators.
11. Tracks and submits requests for office supplies quarterly. Monitors the performance of fax, copy, and other office equipment making service requests when necessary.
12. Required to perform duties when necessary during extended hours, and occasionally for special events during evenings and weekends.
13. Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
1. Undergraduate degree preferred with a minimum of ten years related audiovisual support experience.
2. Overall knowledge of audiovisual equipment use and operation. Strong computer skills in a Windows environment with standard MS Office applications and the ability to learn other specialized software.
3. Excellent customer service ability coupled with courteous telephone manner and professional written communication skills. Strong results focus with flexible hospitality tact in delivering timely services to clients.
4. Good analytical and organizational skills with ability to prioritize, manage, and evaluate work in a busy, multicultural environment.
5. Must be able to pass the investigation to obtain an MBI. If you hold a an active Secret clearance, we can maintain it.
