Job Overview
We are looking for a talented Senior Video Editor to join our newly-created Video Production and Post-Production division, charged with creating innovative content to help us engage targeted communities and users of our world-class sports nutrition brands, Cellucor and FitJoy.
Nutrabolt is all about sports performance and helping fitness users reach their goals - inside the gym and out! We are seeking an individual that can help us tell that story with creative editing and motion graphics. You will be the go-to expert for post-production, and will have a hand in crafting every story we tell. The person we want will live for being in the chair, driving a hot editing and color correction rig, and can turn beautiful imagery into cohesive, emotional narratives. You're incredibly fast on Premiere, FCP, and Avid, and you can wax poetic about Walter Murch and Thelma Schoonmaker. You can turn out multiple versions and take feedback like a champ. You think music and pace first, you're always looking for that creative cutaway, and you're not happy until everyone in the room is amped.
Day in the Life of:
-You will work directly with the creative department, the Executive Producer, and the Cinematographer to help shape the vision of our branded content during pre-production
-You will work closely with the Executive Producer and Chief Marketing Officer to help shape the future of the video division
-You will create captivating content for a wide range of distribution channels, including social, commercials, promos, product pages, broadcast, etc.
-You will maintain our post-production rigs and consult on archival systems and technical pipelines
-You will help to drive creative decisions in the post-production process, including the tasking of motion graphics and design
-You will work closely with the rest of the post-production department (audio post, motion graphics, 3D artists, etc.) to maintain efficient schedules and deliverables
-You will make sure that deadlines are being met and have an eye towards upcoming productions
-You will identify and share insights about new styles in editing and visual effects and relay that insight to the creative department
-You will keep pushing your boundaries and challenging yourself to be innovative
Our Ideal Candidate:
-Has a Bachelor's Degree in Film, Media or related field
-Has 6-8 years of professional experience editing high-end advertising, feature films, or documentaries
-Has experience with Adobe CC, primarily Premiere, and 4K Raw and ProRes workflows
-Has experience in motion graphics, compositing, and visual effects
-Has experience with color correction techniques and packages such as DaVinci and SpeedGrade
-Bonus points for After Effects, Maya, Cinema 4D, or Nuke
-Has experience in narrative filmmaking and storyline-driven editing
-Is a speed-demon in the chair and can be creative on a tight deadline
-Has experience working with customers in the room and maintaining a high level of professionalism in pressure situations
-Has knowledge on the most effective editing techniques (length, pace, etc.) for creating content that drives engagement on all channels and platforms
-Seeks a position with potential and opportunities to grow and excel through hard work
-Is a passionate, empathetic and personable leader with strong verbal and written communication skills
-Has a love for cinema and can apply that aesthetic to brand storytelling and sports marketing
-Is a creative, out of the box thinker, with a sense of humor and ability to think and react quickly in high pressure situations
-Is nice. Like, really nice. Requires working with people day in and day out, so an ability to love people and have them love you back is necessary
-Works extremely well with others and is the best at developing strong relationships with our internal and external customers
-Has a passion for the fitness industry and believes in what we do!
