NorthSouth Productions, the producers of Impractical Jokers and Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta, is one of the largest independent producers of television programming in the country. Providing programming to a variety of networks including truTV, Discovery Channel, Red Bull, History, A&E, TLC and Travel Channel, our production credits include competition-elimination, documentaries, adventure travel, home improvement and docu-comedy formats.
For the Fall 2017 semester, NorthSouth's New York office is seeking lively and inquisitive Junior or Senior interns to assist our development team with project specific research and outreach. This is a great opportunity to learn from seasoned industry professionals and gain exposure to the development phase of television production.
Responsibilities:
tier 1 level PC set up and troubleshooting
end user support with office software and equipment
some network path adjustments possible
inventory management
Job Requirements:
Candidates must be available to work in NorthSouth's New York office for a minimum of three weekdays. Office hours are 10am to 6pm.
Applicants should have a desire to learn more about television production, specifically the development process, have excellent phone manner, computer skills, research skills, and be hardworking within an office setting.
This internship is for college credit only to Juniors and Seniors.
Strong research and writing skills
with IT (computer science majors) interested in networking or end user support
or video tech skills (someone with post production / Avid skills but interested in setting up systems, not necessarily becoming an AE)
