Search for Web and Graphic Designer jobs in Los Angeles-CA
We are looking for creative digital artists with video editing & production, graphic design, and web development skills. If you have a deep interest in cute things and/or magical, colorful and friendly products and want to join a happy workplace that impacts how young women think about and play games, this is a great fit for you.
Guided by your strong attraction to social trends and understanding of marketing/branding fundamentals, you will put forth concepts and ideas that help define and lead our digital and sometimes offline initiatives. You are fulfilled by creative efforts, and at the same time enjoy the stretch from learning about and executing marketing assignments.
As the mobile gaming industry is still nascent and our area of focus in it even more so, you will need a playful curiosity and the desire to learn. There are no hard and fast rules, and you should feel invigorated by figuring things out.
You'll be joining the marketing team and working closely with many members of the company (marketing, coordinators, artists and designers). Our brand is built on an authentic relationship with our users, so please don't be a big-talker or gimmicky sales person.
You'll get to do it all, and once you've found your footing, you are encouraged to take off and have (almost) free reign.
- Social media - propose tumblr-able, upvote-worthy, and on-brand concepts and create gifs, videos, memes, with some light copy writing to see the idea through.
- Web development - research website templates, wire frame structure, design features, and create graphic assets.
- Marketing and business development materials - work with existing art assets to create ads, banners, presentations, one sheets, email newsletters, event invitations, media kits, to name a few.
- Marketing projects - taking part in ideation, research, strategizing, planning and executing projects.
- Develop, maintain and elevate the look and feel of our products and brand alongside our creative team.
- Internal outreach - actively involve all necessary groups to make sure both business and creative goals are met.
- Pitch ideas and see it through to execution.
Requirements:
- Digital production samples (student or professional). A creative arts degree may be a plus, but it's more important for us to see your production skills in action. (Videos, gifs, websites, images, any other marketing collateral)
- Expert knowledge in Photoshop, iDesign, iMovie or Final Cut (any video editing system), and Word Press (ability to create website from an online template).
Much more likely to get the job:
- You like or love playing games!
- Skills in animation
- You dream of living in internet infamy as the author of a viral hit.
- Versatile style. You keep up with design trends, can readily deploy elements, but can make your own decision on what works best.
- Previous branding or marketing/business experience.
- Communicative and open-minded. You can write an email like my friend and not sound all ''business-y.'' You are a straight shooter.
- You don't have to be crazy sociable, but you do have to be friendly and like reaching out to people.
- Resourceful and fearless.
- Common sense. A balance of book and street smarts.
- Ability to manage time, and multitask projects.
