Overview and Responsibilities
• Supports Director and Production Manager on variety of on-air projects to maximize resources across Kids and Family groups
• Manage day-to-day production for assigned short-form projects across multiple platforms – Linear, App, Web, Marketing
• Create and implement effective production plans and budgets for assigned projects
• Track and maintain spending forecasts for individually managed projects
• Ensure assigned projects stay within their allocated budgets, and work with Director and
• Production Manager to manage back issues to the appropriate department heads
• Coordinate shoots, hire crews and production personnel to execute creative concepts
• Liaison with third-party production companies and outside vendors, negotiate project rates, and issue appropriate legal agreements
• Approve all costs hitting assigned projects, including invoices weekly in Market and payroll for project-based employees
• Generate final cost reporting and actualizing of production budgets
• Maintain accurate records for each individual project as required by BALA and PRT
• Liaise with Project Management and Producers to ensure production schedules and post-production schedules are maintained, and staying within the allocated production budgets and timelines
• Interface with various internal departments on production related issues including Business andLegal Affairs, Risk Management, Finance, Safety and Labor Relations
• Work with required software systems such as SAP for cost reporting, The Market for PO’s and Invoicing, and Concur for reconciliations and travel bookings, and become proficient in their overall use
• Coordinate with Show Production teams to obtain production assets and shoot-based requests for the creative team
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum of 4-6 years of prior Production Management experience
• Prior Short-Form experience is ideal
• Prior Cable network experience and/or Production Company experience is a plus.
• Strong budgeting experience is key!
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
