Overview and Responsibilities
As part of the Nickelodeon Group, this role will be within the Digital Analytics team that supports the digital presence (web sites and apps) of the Nickelodeon brands (Nick, Nicktoons, TeenNick, NickJr, Noggin). The Digital Analytics team is a center of excellence focused on reporting, analyzing and evangelizing data observations and experiments to quantify the health and optimization efforts of Nickelodeon Digital platforms. We aim to be an invaluable function in the decision making of every digital team member, be responsible for translating data into actionable insights, and provide a fact-- based space for evaluation of new ideas and creative risks. This role works closely with various teams across the organization to drive game engagement, video consumption, user retention, and user experience. Responsibilities include:
• Own the Optimization Program: act as Program Manager of a/b/n testing across Nickelodeon digital
• Evangelize testing culture with fervor. Be the program’s own press team. Establish multiple recurring methods for spreading the good word beyond the tactical testing team to include executive management.
• Create and maintain a strategic vision plan for the program with a 1--2 year horizon
• Collaborate within the digital analytics team when formalizing test ideas and performing analysis of tests
• Cultivate and maintain tight relationships with program benefactors, stakeholder leadership, and testing vendors
• Inspire new test ideas; recognize and parse new test ideas from parallel business conversations
• Establish a system of KPIs that measure and recurrently report on the testing program itself
• Proactively explore innovative processes and analyses improvements e.g., test idea collection tools, tactical test project management tools, newsletters, guess the winner polls, etc.
• Ensure tests are constructed and implemented in a way that enables further use such as deep dive analysis outside of test KPIs and/or capture results that allow for future reflection and targeting
• Diplomatically resolve cross--team resource or idea conflicts while still driving the testing agenda forward
• Contribute to personalization through testing algorithms i.e., as product teams lead the personalization program, listen for opportunities to influence success of future algorithm optimization
• Collect test ideas and maintain test request queue prioritized by balance of business value and opportunity cost
• Maintain testing roadmap across stakeholders and in coordination with other team roadmaps
• Project manage the testing program to maintain pace of testing
• Setup campaigns in testing tool interfaces
• Analyze and document test results
• Present test results in a palatable format for consumption by various audience types across the organization
Basic Qualifications
• 2-4 years of testing experience
• High proficiency with Adobe Target, Dynamic Yield, Optimizely or other tier 1 testing tool
• Proficiency with Adobe Analytics and Ad Hoc Analysis
• Proficiency with statistics to ensure appropriate sample size and winner confidence
Additional Qualifications
• Solid client management skills – experience agency side and/or supporting large, diverse internal client groups
• Fantastic presentation skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to find and tell a clear story based on data
• Must work well under pressure and be able to meet multiple deadlines simultaneously while maintaining a customer--oriented demeanor
• Self--reflective self--starter who is also energetic, enthusiastic, and adaptable
