Overview and Responsibilities
• Drive strategy to manage and grow the CPG categories with Walmart, Walmart.com and Sam’s Club
• Identify and develop new business opportunities for Nickelodeon at Walmart, Walmart.com, Sam’s Club, and Jet.com
• Partner with cross-functional teams, including cross-category retail development team and retail marketing team, licensing team, advertising sales, and integrated marketing to develop and drive execution of programs at retail
• Align Nickelodeon Kids and Family brands with Walmart priorities and initiatives to drive both modular and promotional business at retail
• Partner with key licensing partners and the Nickelodeon licensing team on the development of retail specific programs designed to deliver value/solutions and drive incremental sales
Responsibilities
• Develop strong relationships with merchants and licensee sales reps to provide regular updates and execute Nickelodeon cross-category business/programs
• Manage and grow existing accounts and businesses with licensing team, licensees, advertising sales and integrated marketing teams
• Partner with licensing team to research and brainstorm promotional and innovative product opportunities within food categories to deliver solutions to licensing partners and Walmart
• Develop relationships within the food industry to proactively bring new business opportunities to the organization
• Collaborate with toy/entertainment, softlines, and HBA/consumables retail development counterparts to achieve communication flow and reach team goals/revenue targets
• Proactively monitor and address changes and opportunities in the retail marketplace through analysis of competitive landscape, industry trends, and market share
• Partner with consumer insights team to ensure accuracy of reporting by gathering all food UPCs for item share
• Travel required for retail and corporate office meetings, meetings with licensees, and tradeshows
• Elevate the Nickelodeon brand image in the Northwest Arkansas community through attendance at local philanthropic activities, functions and benefits
Basic Qualifications
• 10 years experience in licensing, consumer products, retail development, marketing or related field
• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience working with Walmart merchants and Walmart Stores, Inc’s business model and retail structure
• Experience working at all levels on both merchandising and marketing departments at Walmart, Walmart.com , Sam’s Club and Jet.com
• Existing contacts and relationships with key food companies and assigned retailers required
• Proven track record of developing and executing successful modular and promotional business
