Manager/Senior Analyst, (Digital) Consumer Insights
Overview and Responsibilities
The Manager/Sr. Analyst* will be responsible for conducting research with preschoolers and older kids (6-11-year-olds) to provide key insights into our users. The Manager will use research and analytical skills to find ways to improve the user experience across digital platforms and work closely with the product teams to provide actionable design recommendations.
Responsibilities:
• Work directly with designers, product managers, and game producers to identify and prioritize research opportunities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
• Design research protocols and prepare research plans
• Plan user research activities such as participant recruiting and scheduling, materials production, lab preparation, and other logistics
• Conduct research on how users interact with various digital experiences across platforms.
• Collect and analyze user behavior through benchmark studies, lab studies, and surveys
• Conduct rapid iterative usability testing of wireframes, mockups, and prototypes
• Translate research findings into actionable, prioritized recommendations
• Communicate research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and oral presentations
Basic Qualifications
• An advanced degree or equivalent experience, preferably in psychology, child development, media studies, educational technology, or related field
• At least 3-5 years of work experience in an applied research setting. Internet, mobile, gaming or experience
• Experience integrating user research into product designs and design practices
• Experience working with children is highly desired
• Proven experience in research methods such as formal and informal usability testing and ethnographic research
• Experience presenting research findings and recommendations
NOTE: Depending on the candidate's level of experience level this role can be hired at the Sr. Analyst or Manager level** You will assesed based on the level you fit best into.
Additional Qualifications
• Strong understanding of both current and future trends in Internet and mobile technologies, gaming, and online/mobile design with a critical awareness of implications on user-centered design and functionality
• Thorough understanding of best practices in user research, particularly for young children
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong interest in working across media platforms
• Ability to convert research data and results into actionable product and design recommendations that improve the user experience and inform product strategy
• Ability to work collaboratively with others
