SUMMARY:
Nickelodeon is searching for a Current Series Department Coordinator to become part of the Executive Team that oversees animation production for one of the world’s leading children’s entertainment brands. In this role, the Current Series Coordinator will offer a high level of administrative support to the shows in Current Series and work alongside the Executive in Charge. We are looking for someone who is ready for a fast paced production environment, has a positive attitude, and the passion to see any and all projects from start to finish.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Manage and oversee the distribution of show material and other related content throughout the company.
• Review on-air and online content to provide creative feedback - ensuring that the material stays true to its creative core while maintaining the brand and promotional strategy of a Nickelodeon series.
• Build relationships within the company to create a healthy and professional work flow.
• Work closely with all members of the production crew and the channel with a focus on story, quality control and archiving artwork.
• Effectively communicate and work with all levels of personnel within Nickelodeon both at the studio and for the channel while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
• Work independently using good judgment while managing both administrative tasks and larger projects.
• Identify areas within the department for continuous process improvement and work with department members to implement the changes.
• Track the progress of assigned projects and flag potential problems/delays.
• Assist on special projects for festivals, awards and network initiatives.
• Participate in the development of highly visible presentations for the VPs and all of Current Series.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
EDUCATION:
• BS/BA Degree – Strongly Preferred
EXPERIENCE:
• Previous experience as an Executive Assistant or Production Coordinator is preferred.
• Animation and/or Television experience a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft software applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, anticipatory, and written communications skills.
• Ability to know when to make independent decisions and to juggle multiple projects at once.
• Solid problem-solving skills, with ability to think on your feet.
• Eager and able to work effectively under pressure with short time constraints and also able to adjust direction in response to changing work situations.
• Able to work successfully in a team environment, build effective working relationships inside and outside group with varying levels of collaborators and accommodate various working styles.
• Knowledge of corporate organization, the ability to navigate it and knowledge of departmental business practices and tools is preferred.
