Position Summary
Newzulu has an immediate opening for a Global Vice President of Sales to lead us in our exciting growth strategy. As Global Vice President of Sales, you will be responsible for attaining Newzulu's revenue targets. You will build and manage Newzulu's global sales management organization, be responsible for acquiring new customers and assist in growing revenue from existing customers.
You will work closely with the marketing, product and management teams, as well as strategic partners, to exceed revenue targets. You must have a proven track record with complex sales involving multiple decision-making units. You have previous management experience and understand how to motivate and support individuals for success driven results. As Global Vice President of Sales, you must be a mentor to the teams you manage and assist in closing all large and strategic deals. You must have a strong work ethic and internal drive that will allow you to thrive in our environment.
You will report to the COO and will be a member of the company's management team. You will be responsible for the direction and management of all sales and business development operations, including market competitiveness, pricing, compensation, and distribution and channel strategy.
Responsibilities
• Drive the company's achievement of its customer acquisition and revenue goals
• Oversee the hiring, training, development and management of a global sales organization, appropriate for the company's maturity/size
• Set sales targets and KPIs for yourself, individual sales people, regions and your team as a whole
• Compile, analyze and report sales figures and KPIs against target
• Monitor your team's performance, and coach and motivate them to reach targets
• Be a role model for the company culture
• Establish compensation and sales incentive programs with the COO to attract and retain top sales and lead generation talent that will motivate the team to success
• Develop sales tactic strategies including: how to compete, scripts that win, how to maximize revenue per lead and revenue per salesperson
• Drive the development and training of national and international sales methodology and strategies
• Work closely with the Vice President of Marketing to develop, establish, and direct channel and distribution strategies and programs
• Identify key channel partners for sales channel and/or integration relationships in key markets
• Work closely with the Vice President of Marketing to develop and execute lead programs
• Maintain key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding the company's customer base
• Work with COO to develop pricing policies, including volume discounts and terms and conditions
• Keep up to date with products and competitors
• Report to Senior Management the feedback you're getting from the market, together with recommendations on how to improve sales resulting from that feedback
• Work with the COO to develop a process to identify feature gaps with product and engineering
• Work with the COO / sales engineering to propose effective solutions for client needs
• Conduct yearly performance reviews with each direct report, quarterly development reviews and ongoing meetings to review and support your direct reports; ensure your direct reports do the same with their reports
Requirements
• College/University Degree ( Preferred)
• At least 10 years sales experience in comparable industries, with 3+ years in a senior management position
• Documented history of meeting and exceeding revenue targets within a team environment
• Ability to thrive in a startup environment
• Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels
• Ability to work in a team atmosphere, in a professional and respectful manner
• Strong communication skills with the ability to develop and articulate a clear value proposition
• Experience building and managing high performance sales and lead generation teams
• Experience working in a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) sales environment
• Successful history in the digital media space selling into digital, marketing, IT and online departments
• Establish contacts and relationships with potential customers and channel partners in media companies and brands
• Outstanding consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills with executive level customers and partners
• Comfortable selling technical products
• Proven evangelical sales track record in a new product/new market environment
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results-driven, team oriented environment, including colleagues in different time zones around the world
• Experience with a successful sales methodology, and sales funnel management
• Experience in choosing, deploying and using marketing and sales applications
• Strong thorough attention to detail in completing work task
• Ability to travel nationally and internationally, as needed

• New York; travel will be required on an as needed basis
