Summary:
Advanced editing and creative design for Mets television promos, scoreboard programming, online and social media video content. Also, designs and creates graphics, animation and motion graphics.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Primary responsibility for post-production supervision, visual design and editing of Mets broadcast and multimedia projects.
• Works with Executive Producer and production team to deliver timely and high quality video media that meets business objectives within ongoing tight deadlines.
• Serves as a creative and technical mentor to less experienced editors and production staff, developing their artistic vision, editing skills, Photoshop, After Effects and motion graphics.
• Oversee the production department’s digital media asset management procedures and oversee compliance by all staff using ingest, metadata tagging, editing, storage and archive systems.
• Work with Video Graphics Designer and Creative Services department on translation of applicable marketing, advertising and branding designs to video. Creation of still and motion video graphics and animation for use in video production projects.
• Contribute to best-in-class creative video services and entertainment team that works with a sense of urgency and sets standards for creative vision, efficiency, and output to produce award-winning materials that meet deadlines and achieve business goals.
• Liaison to Avid Technologies for annual maintenance agreement, technical support, upgrades and field service calls. Handle routine Avid system monitoring, administrative maintenance and upkeep.
• Coordinate digital delivery and fiber line transmission of Mets television promos and other editorial content to media partners, clients, mets.com, and social media.

• Highly creative, professional, consistent look and execution of all video-related projects.
• Ongoing development of enhanced creative that meets/exceeds business and messaging objectives within established timelines and budget.
• Mentoring and development of junior staff editing, graphics and animation skills.
• Internal satisfaction among client departments (marketing, ticketing, corporate sales, others) as determined by periodic feedback interviews conducted by Director and Executive Producer, of Entertainment Marketing & Production.
• Completion of Annual Performance Objectives established by the Director and Executive Producer, of Entertainment Marketing & Production.
Internal Relationships:
• Close collaboration with all members of the video production team, including the Executive Producer, the lead editor and graphics/animation designers.
• Active participant in creative review sessions with senior executives, marketing and other client departments.
Travel Demands:
• Valid passport and driver’s license required. Must be able to travel by air to domestic and international destinations, rent and drive a passenger car. Position may require up to twenty-five (25) travel days per year.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field.
• Five years of professional video editing experience, including mastery of Avid and Adobe non-linear edit systems and software with excellent professional demo reel and references. Avid training and certification.
• Mastery of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects and other tools required to create professional still graphics, mattes, keys, composites and 2D motion graphics. Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• 3D animation experience, baseball knowledge and understanding of statistics and baseball scoring a plus.
