Full Time Job
Summary:
Creative design and production of advanced still and motion graphics, 2D and 3D animation for Mets game day programming, LED board content, television promos, broadcast, online and social media video content. Also, designs and creates graphics, animation and motion graphics.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Primary responsibility for creating video graphics and animations for Mets broadcast and multimedia projects.
• Works with Executive Producer and production team to deliver timely, high quality designs that meet business objectives within ongoing tight deadlines.
• Serve as design and graphics skills mentor to members of the production team. Responsible for developing team members’ artistic vision and ability to generate effective content with Photoshop, After Effects, Cinema4D and other motion graphics tools.
• Work with the Video Graphics & Animation Specialist and Creative Services group on the development of club visual branding looks and style guides. Translate applicable print marketing, advertising and branding designs to video graphics and animation.
• Contribute to best-in-class creative video services and entertainment team that works with a sense of urgency and sets standards for creative vision, efficiency, and output to produce award-winning materials that meet deadlines and achieve business goals.
• Establish procedures and best practices for graphics versioning, asset management and archiving. Oversee the department approach to graphics file management and housekeeping.
• Coordinate and art direct efforts by outside animation vendors providing content for video production, sponsor branding, LED boards, Ross Xpression, social media and other channels.
Key Performance Indicators:
• Highly creative, professional, consistent look and execution of all video-related graphics.
• Ongoing development of enhanced creative that meets/exceeds business and messaging objectives within established timelines and budget.
• Mentoring and development of staff graphics and animation skills.
• Internal satisfaction among client departments (marketing, ticketing, corporate sales, others) as determined by periodic feedback interviews conducted by Director and Executive Producer, of Entertainment Marketing & Production.
• Completion of Annual Performance Objectives established by the Director and Executive Producer, of Entertainment Marketing & Production.
Internal Relationships:
• Close collaboration with all members of the video production team, especially the Executive Producer, Video Editors and Graphics & Animation Specialist, as well as the artists of the Creative Services group.
Travel Demands:
• Valid passport and driver’s license required. Must be able to travel by air to domestic and international destinations, rent and drive a passenger car. Position may require up to twenty (20) travel days per year.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field.
• Five years of professional graphics design and animation experience with excellent professional demo reel and references.
• Mastery of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects and other tools required to create professional still graphics, mattes, keys, composites and 2D motion graphics.
• Professional experience and demo material showing animated 3D content for video using industry-standard modeling and animation software such as Cinema4D, 3DS Max, Maya, etc.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Familiarity and experience with Avid/Adobe video editing tools preferred, but not required.
• Baseball knowledge and understanding of statistics and baseball scoring a plus.
