Summary:
The Receptionist answers phone calls to the company switchboard, as well as provides exceptional customer service to all visitors, staff and job applicants who enter the NY Mets Executive Offices.
Accountabilities:
• Answer the phone in a professional and knowledgeable manner to obtain appropriate information to address the caller’s needs or re-directs callers as necessary.
• Welcome visitors, staff and all applicants to the NY Mets Offices in a professional, engaging and friendly manner.
• Works closely with the Office Coordinator and Office Manager in assuring the daily operational functions of Executive Office run smoothly.
• Surveys and keeps the lobby area, reception desk and surrounding area orderly and clean.
• Maintains security awareness in the Lobby. Assures all guests have been checked in by the Lobby Watchman.
• Receptionist is counted on to be at the desk at all times.
• Assist with office projects or other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to interact positively as a part of a team.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
• Ability to be discreet and maintain confidentiality.
• Regular attendance, promptness and dependability are a priority.
Physical Demands:
The position requires the person to sit for long periods of time during the day, and sharing workspace with another employee.
