Coordinator will assist the Production Accounting Department with inputting, payroll, filing and updating financial log to reflect accurate reporting. The Coordinator, Production Accounting, will assist in providing day-to-day accounting and financial analysis support and support all productions.
What you'll do:
-Work with the Manager and Sr. Director, Production Accounting, to input and track budgets in Excel, assist with other financial aspects of Series Productions using analytical, accounting and other production experience.
-Assist in inputting and tracking expenses.
-Assist with processing payroll.
-Assist in tracking spend across various productions.
-Assist Manager in various reconciliation processes regarding the production costs and cash sent to Productions.
-Assist in maintaining all financial documents organized.
-Assist in tracking film tax credit information.
-Maintain organized accounting record keeping.
What you'll need to have:
-2 years work experience in a corporate environment.
-Accounting background including knowledge of trial balance, financials, general ledger entries and bank reconciliations required.
-Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business/Econ.
-Minimum 2 years' production accounting, film/TV finance experience (TV or Film and/or accounting in the film industry) or accounting experience desired.
-Attention to detail, desire for accuracy, and a sense of urgency.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Advanced Excel skills and intermediate skills in all other Microsoft Office Suite applications.
-Strong willingness to learn and be a great team player.
-Strong analytical skills with an ability to find solutions and setting up check-points for verification of accuracy of work performed.
-Knowledge of applicable guild rules SAG-AFTRA, WGA, WGC, DGA, DGC, UPCP/ACTRA desired.
-Proficiency with production accounting software specially Global Vista or V5 and Movie Magic Budgeting desired.
