The Opportunity
We are looking for a talented Public Relations professional based in the Beverly Hills office who is an expert in understanding the different cultures & idiosyncrasies of the markets in the Latin America region. It's not often there's an opportunity to help define regional media strategy through one of the most important markets in the world for a fast growing and highly admired company. The Role
He/she will help shape and executive campaigns for our award-winning originals series throughout Latin America, making use of multiple earned media channels, including broadcast, print, and online. They will also be a critical link between agencies in specific countries and Netflix in promoting series like House of Cards, Orange is the New Black, Daredevil, Narcos and many others. He/she will work report to the manager originals publicity for Latin America and work in lockstep with the US originals publicity team that handles the global strategies for aforementioned campaigns. They will also work very closely with the senior manager of brand PR for Netflix, so efforts between brand PR and originals publicity complement each other.
In addition, this role will:
- Understand how to build and maintain relationships with key journalists and social media influencers on behalf of Netflix
- Acknowledges the importance of partnering with agencies in the region and can effectively manage teams in several countries simultaneously
- Be deeply familiar with, and enthusiastically curious about, technology, intellectual property, privacy and other Web issues.
- Manage, ensure effective and efficient implementation and analyzes the impact of publicity campaigns for series in Latin America.
- Have experience covering sets or films/series during production phase.
- Is familiar with Social Media, Marketing and Development of Materials and provides insight to different internal local teams on potential PR opportunities around Content & Marketing initiatives.
- Understand the importance of accurate budgeting and reporting
- Require travel to Latin America on a frequent basis.
Qualifications
The successful candidate for this role will likely possess 5+ years in corporate or agency settings. Of particular interest are candidates with broad knowledge of TV, international publicity, entertainment, pop culture & lifestyle trends, etc. in general and Latin America.

Says it like it is; not wrapped in political niceties.
Pragmatic, Organized and Detailed
Has a big capacity to both think and 'do'. Flourishes in a 'hands on' role, adding value at different levels. Is strong on detail, highly organized and drama-free.
A Smart Minimalist
Keeps things simple. Knows that global communications can be made complex---and will resist and prevent that.
Does not need or desire big budgets for big results.
Believes one great person on the team is more valuable than 3 to 5 OK people---and wants to be that great person.
Has a Point of View
An independent thinker willing and able to express and support a point of view.
Pace
Moves at a nice clip and enjoys having multiple projects going at once. Can change course, be scrappy and get things done on short timeframes.
Languages
Ability to speak/write in Spanish & English is essential; Portuguese is a plus
