Netflix, the world's leading Internet-television network, is seeking an individual to lead its global public policy function. This position will have responsibility for managing all of the company's government relations and public policy matters globally.
Over the past few years, Netflix has expanded rapidly and is currently available in almost every country around the globe. The global public policy team is responsible for handling major substantive areas regarding the operation and growth of our service in these countries.

Reporting to the General Counsel, this critical role is fundamental to Netflix's continued success and growth. The role involves establishing and executing our global public policy and government relations objectives, managing a global team, and working closely with senior management, outside consultants and attorneys.
This role will involve monitoring various legislative and rulemaking initiatives and determining the appropriate level of Netflix's involvement. The position will involve advocating before governments and regulatory bodies across the globe and developing analysis and interpretation of public policy issues potentially impacting the company. Frequent travel to the company's various offices is necessary and will be an important component of understanding Netflix's business and culture.
The Netflix legal and public policy team is a highly talented and experienced group of lawyers and public policy experts who work closely with their business counterparts to advance the strategic goals of the company. The team is perceived within the company as solutions-oriented and as a welcome part of the Netflix business team.
The successful candidate will have at least 15 years of public policy and government relations experience, preferably covering multiple jurisdictions outside the United States. The successful candidate will have led a global team and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, being able to work effectively cross-functionally and be solution-oriented.
