This role will be instrumental in the management and prioritization of initiatives supporting the company's multi-faceted and evolving strategy as it relates to production and post-production supply chain security. Responsibilities will include reviewing and conducting risk assessments of third party creative vendors, production and post-production facilities, internal and external applications, and cloud-hosted technologies that interact with or process Netflix pre-launch content. As part of the Physical Production team, the Manager, Production Content Security role will create a function that has the ability to provide direction to business units and vendors on a daily basis when needs and escalations dictate a quick response.
Job Responsibilities:
• Define content security practices and guidelines in collaboration with other Netflix security teams
• Conduct and/or direct content risk assessments of production and post-production vendors that work on Netflix content by evaluating workflow processes, vendor facilities, data centers, cloud-hosted technologies and other systems that interact with content
• Provide advice and remediation plans based on best practices and compensating controls
• Monitor and validate ongoing and completed remediation activities and inform appropriate Physical Production executive of progress
• Build/maintain 3rd party creative and technology vendor relationships, and provide ongoing advisement on Industry Best Practices and Netflix Studio requirements
• Develop/maintain a Content Security Vendor Database for central storage of internal and external audit reports, questionnaires and supporting documentation
• Support all aspects of the security assessments, including planning, fieldwork, reporting and archiving
• Evaluate and test vendor workflows, processes, and controls and identify areas of risk
• Manage vendor assessment remediation projects and revalidation of security compliance
• Liaise with vendors and internal partners to identify, report, and remediate risks related to content security
• Support assessments of internal departments handling content to ensure the proper security controls and procedures are in place
• Support increased digital security testing and content protection technology/anti-piracy testing
Qualifications:
• Minimum 6 - 8 years relevant Content Security/Information Security experience
• Experience in Pre-Production and Post-Production of Film and Television
• Experience in Production and Editorial Technology
• Thorough knowledge of feature film production and post-production industries, services, and workflows (e.g., DI, editing, visual/audio effects, encoding, dubbing, DVD/BD replication)
• Thorough knowledge and technical skills around current and developing content security/anti-piracy technology, industry standards and regulations
• Certifications in one or more of the following - CISSP, CISM, CISA, CPP, CRISC, CEH, ITIL
Ability to:
• Maintain awareness of trends and developments in the area of media security
• Learn and retain new skills as required supporting a continually changing technical environment
• Communicate at a technical level with technical professionals, as well as communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical management
• Function as an integral member of a team comprised of Legal, Technology, Operations, and Physical Production
