The Manager of Accounting for Original Programming for Netflix's Original Stand-up Comedy, Documentary and Unscripted content is based in the company's Hollywood office (For more on this content read this Fortune article). The role will report to the Director of Original Series and works cross-functionally with original content teams (Business Affairs, Production Finance, Planning and Analysis) and Corporate Reporting.

In this role you will:
• Manage the stand-up comedy, documentary and unscripted accounting team responsible for the financial integrity of the company's content commitments, assets (capitalization), liabilities (payments), and expenses (amortization).
• Oversee the set up (in proprietary contract management system) and accounting of content license contracts, with focus on license fee uploads and payment term assignments.
• Review and documentation of content license agreements, which includes interpreting contractual terms and understanding the application of our accounting policies.
• Drive process improvements and contribute to exciting projects such as close scalability and efficiency, system design and core accounting framework.
• Cross-functional interaction with teams in Los Gatos and Los Angeles, across both the finance and content acquisition organizations
You are qualified and will thrive in this role if you:

• You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate accounting for production activities (Public company experience a plus).
• You are a CPA (public accounting experience a plus).
• You have proficient knowledge of ASC 926 & 920 and on-set production activities and their practical application to business workflows, policies.
