The Content Localization group is responsible for getting those amazing programs to our growing international audience. Centered around linguistic excellence, a great team environment, and cutting-edge technology, this group is critical to Netflix's ability to distribute great content globally.
The Localization Operations Specialist will be responsible for ensuring Netflix customers across the globe get the highest-quality experience from our subtitles and audio dubs, as we continue to launch new content and expand our language coverage. You will be working on Netflix's growing catalog including our Original content and overseeing the launch and progress of all localized assets.
In this role you will:
• Oversee multiple large-scale dubbing and subtitling projects across a wide range of vendors and languages.
• Maintain communication with post production, editorial and sound teams to ensure the distribution of materials for localization.
• Request bids from our localization partners and manage work assignment accordingly.
• Build and maintain relationships with localization vendors; analyze vendor delivery metrics to monitor capacity, identify trends, diagnose issues and reinforce quality standards.
• Establish localization schedules and manage deliveries to ensure successful global launches.
• Effectively communicate project updates cross-functionally.
• Develop strong relationships with our Post, Content Distribution and Quality Control teams.
• Make sound independent decisions, and know when to escalate issues.
• Advocate, understand, communicate, and exemplify the company's values.
Do you have what it takes?
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Prior experience in managing localization workflows in the entertainment industry
• Have a high level understanding of closed captioning, subtitling and dubbing
• Highly analytical and able to get to the root cause of a problem; able to creatively figure out a solution or propose changes to existing workflows as required
• Adaptability and resiliency to quick changes in priorities, technology, tools and workflow; able to pivot without missing a beat
• Attention to detail; organization, problem-solving, analytical and multitasking skills
• Provide innovative thinking around scalable solutions and operational workflows for language asset creation and management, constantly questioning existing systems and looking for a better way
