Netflix is responsible for over 37% of Internet traffic at peak times and we are working collaboratively with ISPs to deploy Open Connect, Netflix's Content Delivery Network. We are seeking an experienced individual with LATAM logistics experience to bring innovative solutions and in-depth expertise to the Open Connect Business Operations Team.
In this role you will be responsible for coordinating our LATAM logistics functions including import/export planning to ensure timely delivery of our Open Connect appliances to Internet Service Providers. In addition, you will work closely with our freight forwarders, warehouse, Internet Service Providers, data centers, accountants, and various other vendors to support a variety of Open Connect business operation functions in LATAM. As a successful candidate, you are a highly motivated individual who works comfortably and autonomously in a fast-paced environment. You have a demonstrated ability to manage priorities and just the right mix of organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities
• Work with various internal and external partners to coordinate import logistics from Netflix headquarters to LATAM country destinations
• Coordinate all activities involved with import such as commercial invoicing, packing lists, weight/dimension verification, Nota Fiscal, tax/customs payment, freight/express carrier invoice verification
• Manage relationship between broker and accounting firm to guarantee timely invoice issuance and registration
• Manage various external relationships with freight forwarders, express carriers, hardware manufactures, warehouses, and suppliers
• Arrange, track, and communicate all shipments from warehouse to Internet Service Providers and data centers
• Work with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to manage and maintain inventory systems and maintain inventory thresholds
• Efficiently communicate with global partners, hardware manufacturers and partner engagement managers regarding the status of various shipping requests and orders via regular scheduled meetings, ticketing systems, and emails
• Ensure related documents such as contracts, packing lists, Nota Fiscals, proof of payment of ICMS, invoices, etc. are correct and stored in efficient manner
• Manage server license applications and renewals
• Reverse logistics as needed
• Recognize and interpret operational trends, make recommendations and implement innovative solutions to streamline various logistical workflows
Required skills
• English fluency required, Spanish fluency a plus
• 3 years related LATAM logistical experience; degree or equivalent experience in related discipline
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of Nota Fiscal issuance and basic Brazilian import taxation
• General finance and accounting experience.
• Network and server equipment knowledge
• Innovative problem solving skills
• Document preparation
• Light project management experience
• Must thrive and enjoy working fast-paced environment
• Detail oriented, capable of following complex procedures, timely follow-up while working within multiple systems
• Working knowledge of general business management and inventory softwares
