We are looking for a Financial Analyst, Participations to be a key member of the department that manages talent and partner reporting obligations for the growing owned original content business. In this role, your key responsibilities will be interpreting and analyzing legal agreements to determine participation obligations. You will also be responsible for calculating and preparing participation statements and payments in an effective, efficient and timely manner.

About the role:
• Prepare participation statements in accordance with contractual agreements
• Draft contract abstracts
• Research and prepare reconciliations and analysis of financial data
• Provide support and document complex calculations
• Collect vendor setup information
• Track inbound participations and ancillary receipts
• Respond to participant and internal inquiries
• Work closely with internal departments as it relates to statement preparation
• Contribute to participation system development, testing and implementation
• Recommend ways to improve upon existing systems and practices
Qualifications
• BA/BS in accounting, finance, economics, business administration or similar degree
• 2 years of related experience, preferably with participations, royalties and/or talent deal management
• Strong statement preparation background required
• Must have experience reading and interpreting legal agreements
• Strong analytical skills to identify issues and problem-solve effectively
• Flexible and comfortable with evolving processes
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to manage large volumes of data
• Excellent Excel and Google web based program skills
• Great communication skills with people at all levels
• Passion for the Entertainment Industry
