What we are looking for:
So here's the story - Netflix is a rapidly growing, exciting, dynamic and ever-changing business in need of an amazing HR Business Partner. Our culture shapes who we are and how we operate. We need someone who is just as passionate about the culture as they are about the work they are doing in the business. This role is based in Los Angeles, CA and will partner with a wide range of teams within the Marketing and PR organizations. The focus of the job is to assess, build, coach and influence the talent & leaders in the teams you'll be aligned to. The role reports to the VP, Talent for global Marketing and PR.
The ideal candidate:
First and foremost, you understand the business and the culture. You will be a shining example of what it means to be a stunning colleague - living our values, understanding how our culture comes to life, and possessing a deep knowledge of the business. This role is unique in the sense that you'll be responsible for making decisions on org design, compensation, employee development, ER, and much more. You'll learn the business and culture inside and out such that you are able to provide strategic HR partnership (not HR best practices for HR sake) to the business leaders and the teams you support to enhance the growth and impact of those teams to the business.
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and thoughtful leader with a collaborative and influential leadership style, the ability to inspire others into action and to think creatively about solutions. The right person for this role must have a passion for the Netflix business and culture, comfort with ambiguity, and able to make quick, well-informed decisions. She/he will embody our culture of Freedom and Responsibility through their behavior and interactions daily and be willing to invite, receive and promote constructive feedback. She/he will exude curiosity about our business and have a proven track record of rapid self-learning. She/he will value inclusion, diversity of opinions and people, and every member of the team, regardless of their title.
Experience:
This position requires a minimum of 10 years of progressive HR/OD/OE experience. Experience in more than one industry or business sector is highly desired, with particular emphasis on entertainment, marketing, and technology. Since our business is rapidly growing, proven track record with regional marketing, partner marketing, licensing, social and publicity teams is highly valuable. It goes without saying, but we'll say it anyway - you need to be an excellent coach, communicator, influencer and leader.
