Full Time Job
We're looking for smart, motivated individuals to work as a coordinator in support of social media campaigns for Netflix originals like Marvel's Daredevil, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, The Do-over and The Get Down.
At Netflix, we use social media to build entertainment brands. We take a long term view and invest in social fandom, versus constantly telling people what and when to watch. We build global fan communities because we believe that a Jessica Jones fan in Argentina has more in common with a Jessica Jones fan in Germany than the House of Cards viewer next door. Our approach is to make news headlines and drive word of mouth through innovative campaigns and quick response all year long, versus pushing out a constant content calendar.
The coordinator will be a crucial part of the campaign process, connecting the dots between our social agencies, the campaign manager, our international regions, and stakeholders in marketing and PR.
If that all sounds good, here's some things we'll be looking for:
• You have to love TV and movies. You should know what a Tardis is. You'd throw your pie for a friend. You're clear on whether you are Team Stark or Team Lannister, you know who Caryl is, and you probably look over your shoulder when standing on a DC Metro platform
• Broad knowledge of social media. Our coordinator will need to know what makes winning creative across multiple social platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Pinterest and Snapchat. You should also have a general awareness of broader PR and Marketing functions
• Creativity. Not only with respect to the copy and visual assets we'll use on social, but also in solving problems and keeping things moving. There will be ample opportunity to contribute creative ideas for various Netflix campaigns
• Strong project management skills. You'll need to prioritize competing workflows and timelines and communicate well with internal and external partners.
• Meticulous attention to detail. Every single item published is an official statement from the brand, and we'll need you spot and correct errors in creative and copy. Calling the grammar police!
• Culture fit. We're looking for someone who possesses good judgment, is curious about the broader business, is resourceful and quick to make decisions.
The fine print:
You'll need to have a bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years' experience working in a corporate, agency, or studio setting focused on social media, communications, or digital marketing.
