Our international efforts have brought Netflix to virtually all countries around the globe and we are excited to bring even more of our Originals programming to our viewers everywhere.
To that end, Netflix's International Originals team -- responsible for great new television series like Club de Cuervos (Mexico), Marseille (France), 3% (Brazil) and others forthcoming from Spain, Germany, Italy, India and Korea -- is seeking an experienced Coordinator who will provide support to the small but growing Business & Legal Affairs team.
The successful candidate will have some prior experience in a business affairs and/or legal setting. S/he, and will be highly-organized, self-motivated, quick-thinking, flexible, and able to juggle multiple responsibilities on a large portfolio of international productions with an unwavering attention to detail. This is a demanding and fast-paced role with growth potential that requires curiosity and significant initiative. S/he will report to a Senior Counsel, International Originals and be based in Los Angeles, California.
Responsibilities
include, but are not limited to:
• Drafting, reviewing and redlining production agreements, as needed, under the supervision of counsel;
• Creating, updating and tracking spreadsheets with deal terms, options, and credits;
• Managing, maintaining, and updating all form agreements as well as various dashboards and document management systems;
• Conducting research;
• Capturing and condensing notes from meetings with various business and legal affairs partners;
• Jumping in to take on additional projects as necessary or assigned; and
• Increasing the International Original team's operational efficiency.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• JD required;
• At least 5 years of related work experience, in a business and/or legal affairs environment, is required;
• Demonstrated good judgment and strong critical thinking skills;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Ability to work proactively, independently and reliably under tight timeframes in a fast-paced environment;
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively cross-functionally (e.g., with production finance, physical production and creative teams), think practically and be solution-oriented;
• Ability to respond positively to change and be respective of new ideas;
• High level of organization, detail orientation and ability to time-manage across multiple deadlines;
• Research experience a plus but not required;
• Knowledge of the international television landscape strongly preferred;
• Willingness to tackle matters outside area of expertise;
• Ability to embrace and advocate cultural diversity; and
• Proficiency in Google Suites (Gmail, docs, calendar).
