Executive Assistant – National Geographic Channel – New York
National Geographic Channel seeks a talented and enthusiastic executive assistant to support the office of the President. This position will be an integral part of the day-to-day operations of the network and a fantastic opportunity for an energetic and ambitious individual with a passion for television.
You will be right-hand partner to the President and handle time management, gatekeeping and complex projects in addition to traditional administrative duties in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Manage very dynamic executive calendar in fast-paced environment.
• Coordinate meetings, calls and events to include all logistics (scheduling, catering, preparation of meeting materials, etc.)
• Handle complex worldwide travel arrangements and process related expense reports.
• Serve as ambassador of the Office of the President and NGC, handling incoming calls, visitors and all situations with discretion, diplomacy, enthusiasm and the urgency necessary.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with key contacts within and outside NGC.
• Handle frequent projects successfully while prioritizing conflicting needs and managing constant interruptions.
Qualifications:
• College graduate with a 4-year degree required.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience providing administrative support with at least one year supporting a senior executive. Talent agency experience a plus.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information with extreme discretion.
• Flexibility regarding workload and comfortable changing directions quickly in a very demanding environment.
• Travel arrangement and calendar experience with different time zones.
• Professional demeanor with a client facing presence.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and engage collaboratively with individuals at all levels.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong initiative and ability to work independently.
• Capacity for problem-solving and troubleshooting with strong focus on results
• Proficiency with MS Office products .
• Ability to manage stress and to stay calm during hectic situations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft & Adobe suites required. Knowledge of Mac. equipment and Apple programs very helpful.
• Interest in the television industry a must.
