Full Time Job
The Producer/Editor creates original content for National Geographic's daily Snapchat Discover editions. This includes, but is not limited to, developing, producing, and editing multimedia interactive stories integrating photos, videos, and articles across NGP divisions. The Producer/Editor works closely with a designer on branding and style per the Creative Director's vision. This role supports the Managing Editor to ensure all TopSnaps and Long-Form content creates a cohesive storytelling experience with purposeful transition and narrative arc.
Responsibilities:
• Develop fresh story ideas that are Snapchat agnostic and reflect brand initiatives across NGP.
• Grow brand awareness, fans, and loyalty.
• Work with Managing Editor to write, produce and edit interactive stories using photos, videos, and articles.
• Grow brand awareness, views, engagement, edition completion rate, and revenue.
• Collaborate with Creative Director and designer to create a cohesive branded style for each edition.
• Grow brand awareness, views, engagement, edition completion rate, and revenue.
• Keep up with industry trends and NGP Snapchat data analysis to constantly iterate and evolve storytelling techniques.
• Increase views, engagement and revenue.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree
• Understand basics on budgeting
• PC/Mac, Microsoft Office, etc.
• After Effects, Premiere
